Halloween witnessing... don’t wait until October 31st!

Stores are going all-out with the Halloween decorations this year!

Local shopping centers are filled with Halloween costumes, grinning pumpkins, skulls, full-sized witch statues, inflatable spiders and tombstones. The devil's favorite "helliday" is being glorified and most children have no idea they are being tricked into believing it's just another fun, candy-filled holiday. Its real purpose is to make the occult and evil look innocent.

We occasionally receive letters from people who read our Halloween tracts and say things like, "...you are trying to take this simple traditional 'holiday' and turn it into some satanic plot to send people to hell."

We're not "turning it into" anything. We are simply pointing out Halloween's pagan roots (see "The History of Halloween"), and that Satan has a plan to destroy their souls (1 Peter 5:8). Former witch and occultist, Bill Schnoebelen writes:


"Halloween used to be called Samhain, and is still celebrated as an ancient pagan festival of the dead by witches all over the world. Unfortunately, just giving the date a "holy" name like All Hallows' Eve or All Saints' Eve cannot change its grisly character. Halloween is an occasion when the ancient gods (actually demons) are worshiped with human sacrifice. (Read more from Bill Schnoebelen.)

But Halloween is just the current event and the real question is: what can we do to show kids (and their parents) how to get saved and avoid the coming judgment? We can hand them a Chick tract that will show them Satan's real plan and how to escape through trust in Jesus.

Halloween is on people's minds the entire month of October and this provides a witnessing opportunity for God's people! Halloween witnessing is not just a one-night event.

As soon as ex-General Electric CEO Jack Welch fired off a tweet questioning today's just released "unbelievable jobs numbers," the media went into a frenzy talking about how "conservatives" were launching conspiracy theories. Well, that's handy for the media and the Obama campaign, but it's not just "conservatives" who are confused by a full 0.3% drop in unemployment when only 114k jobs were created.

CNBC is as confused as the rest of us:
Job growth remained tame in September, with the economy creating just 114,000 net new positions though the unemployment rate fell to 7.8 percent, the first time it has been below 8 percent in 43 months.
The report presented a slew of contradictory data points, with the total employment level soaring despite the low net number.
The falling jobless rate had been a function as much of the continued shrinking in the labor force as it was an increase in new positions.
On the air, CNBC seemed equally perplexed by the biggest one-time drop in the unemployment rate in 29 years!
ABC News' Chris Cuomo is also skeptical of the numbers:

That "not fixed" tag smells a little like sarcasm to me.
Adding to the mystery is the fact that the U-6,  the longtime underemployment and unemployment number, remained fixed at a dismal 14.7%.
What this .03% drop means (per Ed Morrissey) is that the number of unemployed people dropped by 456,000 when only 114k jobs were created--well below the monthly average, and below population growth. Where did 342k people go to lower the number so dramatically just 31 days before a presidential election? Did they retire, leave the planet, die of old age in the unemployment office?
Moreover, just 30 days before the election, 342K people dropped off the unemployment rolls and lowered the unemployment rate to below 8%--a benchmark number vitally important to President Obama who promised his stimulus would ensure we wouldn’t hit 8%.
Finally, this is the second hinky looking report/revision from the Bureau of Labor Statistics in as many months. Just days ago, 400,000 jobs were "discovered"--almost the exact number Obama needed to have a record of creating more jobs on his watch than were lost.
The Obama-friendly media is rolling out some very convenient talking points, with NPR crowing in its half-hourly news bulletin: "The unemlpoyment rate is now back where it was in when President Barack Obama took office in January 2009." Except it isn't, exactly.
No one's crying "conspiracy" here, but any journalist worth a damn always remains skeptical and looks to connect the dots of counter-intuitive good news released just weeks away from a major election.
ADDED: MSNBC's Joe Scarborough, no right-winger, is also questioning the jobs report.

It is hard not to gawk after last night's clear win by Romney, but, it is Bill Maher that really takes the cake on the subsequent comments made:

"i can't believe i'm saying this, but Obama looks like he DOES need a teleprompter"

Indeed, Mr. Maher!  Your savvy $1-Million supporter of Obama has finally read the tea leaves!

Obama DID NOT have the facts on his side!!  He had his INVENTIONS on his side, for which HE WAS EXPOSED:

She's a former nun, an Army major, a lawyer, a college professor and a physician. Now Dr. Barbara Bellar wants to be a state senator from Illinois, and she has one question about ObamaCare.

“What the blank could possibly go wrong?” Bellar asks, tongue in cheek, after delivering a one-sentence indictment of President Obama's health care law.

Bellar, a Republican candidate running for office in the state’s 18th district, gave the extended one-liner while warming up the crowd at a recent event for GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney. Someone captured it on video, and now the doctor's diagnosis of the Affordable Care Act is an Internet sensation with more than 2 million views.
“So, let me get this straight. This is a long sentence,” Bellar begins.
“We are going to be gifted with a health care plan that we are forced to purchase, and fined if we don’t,” Bellar continues, “signed by a president who smokes, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that’s broke.”

Bellar then launched into a longer speech, but the friendly crowd at the event dubbed "Women for Romney/Ryan," was already in the palm of her hand..

“I had no idea I was being videotaped,” Bellar told FoxNews.com. “I meant it as a light opener to a more serious issue. It did take on a life of its own."

But Bellar, who is running for office for the first time, has strong feelings about ObamaCare, which she considers an “erosion” of rights. She is seeking to succeed Edward Maloney, who is retiring from the district, which includes Chicago's 19th Ward, and has picked up the endorsement of the Chicago Tribune.

The title of senator would be just the latest entry on an interesting and lengthy resume. Bellar was a Benedictine nun for nearly five years, although she left before she completed her final vows. She is a major in the U.S. Army Reserves, runs a family medical practice, teaches part time at both Benedictine and DePaul universities and practices law.

“I’ve been fortunate," Bellar said. "I’m just a life-long learner and have always wanted to help serve others.”

Of the upcoming election, Bellar says that she plans to shake up the statehouse where President Obama got his start in politics.

“They will not know what hit them,” she said.

Biden says middle class 'buried' the last 4 years, Republicans pounce

Vice President Biden said Tuesday that the middle class has been "buried the last four years" -- a practically gift-wrapped gaffe that Republicans immediately grabbed to hammer President Obama on the eve of the first presidential debate.

Biden made the remark at a campaign stop in Charlotte, N.C., in the course of slamming Republican tax policies which Democrats claim would cut taxes for the rich and hike them for the middle class.
"This is deadly earnest," Biden said. "How they can justify -- how they can justify raising taxes on the middle class that's been buried the last four years. How in the lord's name can they justify raising their taxes with these tax cuts?"

Mitt Romney, it turns out, couldn't agree more with the first part.

He tweeted: "Agree with @JoeBiden, the middle class has been buried the last 4 years, which is why we need a change in November #CantAfford4More."

Running mate Paul Ryan echoed, saying at a rally in Iowa that "we need to stop digging" and elect Romney.

Both the Romney campaign and The Republican National Committee got to work blasting out a clip of the comment Tuesday afternoon, in what the Obama campaign decried as a "desperate and out-of-context attack."

But Republicans used the remark to hammer home claims that Obama's economic policies have hurt the middle class, in advance of a debate where the economy is sure to feature prominently.

An RNC official told FoxNews.com: "Joe Biden said what so many Americans are feeling every day. For four years, the middle class has been buried by Obama's failed policies from higher taxes to more debt which is why he has a difficult time explaining why he deserves another term in the White House."

A Romney campaign email also included numerous examples of the middle class being "buried" during Obama's term -- by debt, by high unemployment and by falling incomes.

An Obama campaign official countered, blaming Republican policies for crushing the middle class -- well before Obama took office.

"As the Vice President has been saying all year and again in his remarks today, the middle class was punished by the failed Bush policies that crashed our economy -- and a vote for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan is a return to those failed policies. With more than five million private-sector jobs created since 2010, the Vice President and President Obama will continue to help the middle class recover and move the nation forward," the official said.

The first presidential debate will be held Wednesday in Denver and will focus on domestic policy.

Gee, I can just see him, and Kirsten Powers, and Doug Schoen voting Republican!!  Ha Ha Ha!  Now, if we could just twist the arm of Juan Williams, too!  Wouldn't that be neat!!


Pat Caddell: Media Have Become An "Enemy Of The American People"



In recent remarks to an AIM conference, "ObamaNation: A Day of Truth," former Democratic pollster and analyst Pat Caddell said, "I think we're at the most dangerous time in our political history in terms of the balance of power in the role that the media plays in whether or not we maintain a free democracy."

Caddell noted that while First Amendment protections were originally provided to the press so they would protect the liberty and freedom of the public from "organized governmental power," they had clearly relinquished the role of impartial news providers.

Nowhere was this more evident than during the tragic death of a U.S. ambassador in Libya that was lied about for nine days, because the press and the administration did not want to admit it was a terrorist attack.

"We've had nine days of lies over what happened because they can't dare say it's a terrorist attack, and the press won't push this," said Caddell. "Yesterday there was not a single piece in The New York Times over the question of Libya. Twenty American embassies, yesterday, are under attack. None of that is on the national news. None of it is being pressed in the papers."

Caddell added that it is one thing for the news to have a biased view, but "It is another thing to specifically decide that you will not tell the American people information they have a right to know."
