The uproar heard in 1901 and 1917 is not heard anymore since it is that, as reported in "US bishops changing Mary's 'virgin' status in Bible" by Lisa Brooks:


"It's happening now, with the updated edition of the New American Bible.

American Catholic Bishops decided to change a key passage in the book of Isaiah that calls the mother of the coming messiah, not a 'virgin,' but instead a 'young woman.' "

It is also changing the word "holocaust" to "burnt offering!"

This certainly soothes the conscience of the Roman Catholic Church, ever so involved in the killing of 6 Million Jews in the chambers where these were contained as "burnt offerings!"
