Helga,
This Thanksgiving comes as conflict against Israel is escalating and Christian persecution throughout the world is on the rise.
This confluence of being thankful for what we have in this country while seeing so much turmoil elsewhere has reminded me of President Roosevelt's Four Freedoms: freedom of speech, freedom of worship, freedom from want, and freedom from fear.
These are freedoms we enjoy in the United States today; but Roosevelt laid out his vision in 1941, as the world was at war, and he said these are freedoms everyone in the world should enjoy.
We are not there yet.
Our friend who fought to free Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani, Mohammad Ali Dadkhah, is still in prison. Millions of Christians are being persecuted for their faith, and terrorists are aiming rockets at Israeli homes. Speech and faith are oppressed, and our friends are not free from fear.
As you and your family gather together this Thanksgiving, please remember to not only give thanks for our freedom but also pray that it is something everyone in the world can come to know.
Thank you again for your support of our work.

Please sign our petition to defend Israel and stop a terrorist threat, if you have not done so already.
