DAVID COMBS, from Keller, Texas: another hypocritical pharisee!!

.
Here another filthy hypocrite from Facebook being exposed!  We have many such, who sling mud around, but cannot stand on what they say, because they do no more than parrot what they have heard others say, and know not enough of the word of God to defend the indefensible!!

Neither on his page, will your find ANY SCRIPTURE to support ANYTHING he says!  I guess, we are just required to take his worthless word for it!

One can see from the time span, I have given the fool enough time to respond.  In looking at his page, I see that he has posted away up to about an hour ago.

This moron, I have learned from another, claims to be a preacher, YET, he cannot answer the question I posed! This is the caliber of pathetic "preachers" we have, who avoid facing the truth, at all costs! How very disgusting!
I want to throw up!

Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
1 Corinthians 16:13 (King James Bible)

No!  He is FAR from being a man!

Robert Patenaude
ON THE STUDY OF PROPHECY.

IT is melancholy to reflect on the amount of error that has been promulgated in the name of Jesus and His illustrious prophets and apostles. The holy oracles have been made more enigmatical than those of ancient Greece. The fine old prophetic formula, "Thus saith the Lord," with its positive certainty and Divine grandeur, has been exchanged for the shrill cry of "Thus saith the Sect," with its palpable uncertainties of human littleness. "The sure word of prophecy" was sent down from heaven with the sacred injunction, "Take heed to it :" but instead of walking in its serene light, the multitudes are climbing the mountains of vain speculation.

Devout thinkers, however, here and there, are giving more earnest heed to prophetical study than ever before, but the habits, prejudices and theories of churches and pastors are largely against them. "Meddle not with prophecy." "It cannot be understood." "Preach the Gospel." "Let prophecy alone." Such were the precepts of our theological teachers. Well, but we may ask, What shall we read if not prophecy ? How much Bible will be left to us if all its predictions be excluded ? Does it honour the Holy Spirit to say that prophecy cannot be understood ? Surely He is the revealer, not the concealer. Does not Paul speak of the guilt of the people and rulers of Jerusalem, in not knowing the voices of the prophets which were read every Sabbath day. Does not Peter say that "we do well to take heed to the sure word of prophecy, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place ?" Does not John, in his preface to the Apocalypse say, "Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things that are written therein ; for the time is at hand" ? Was it not by consulting the prophecy of Jeremiah that the captive Daniel understood that the years of captivity in Babylon were nearly expired ? Does not our blessed Jesus, the Prince of the prophets, give us signs, and command us to watch them ? Is not the testimony of Jesus the spirit of prophecy ? Is not the design of prophecy to bear testimony to Him ? How should we know that Jesus is the Christ but by comparing His life, doctrines, deeds and sufferings with the prophecies that described them so long before ? As to preaching the Gospel, why, you cannot do that faithfully, nay, you cannot do it at all, if you resolve to have nothing to do with prophecy ; for the Gospel is itself the fulfillment of one series of prophecies, and the utterance of another ; the Gospel is the grandest prophecy in the world---a long, beautiful, and most sublime prediction, embracing heaven and earth in its mighty circumference, and resting not until earth shall be like heaven, and both shall be one in Christ. And, therefore, if we meddle not with prophecy, assuredly it will meddle with us, and the result will not be much to the credit either of our discernment or our piety.

  • James Lucas One must have AT LEAST an elementary understanding of prophecy before one can teach the WHOLE COUNSEL of God's Word.
  • Helga Hickman Indeed, but there are some who NEVER preach grace, believing we are under prophecy, thus many there be, who confuse us with Israel!

7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom,
which God ordained before the world unto our gl
    ory:

8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it,
they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
1 Corinthians 2:7-8 (King James Bible)
  • Preach Christ Crucified Well sister Helga Hickman you might be missing somethings in the posted article that deals with prophecy but let me post the whole passages and let's see what we can learn from it:

Joh 16:12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear
    them now.
Joh 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

    The "things to come" is something that the Lord told them of the many things that still cannot be revealed to them yet since what they are expecting and waiting for are the things prophesied in the OT scriptures that deals mainly with the land, nation, reign on the earth, while there are future things that the Lord has in store which are heavenly; read;

Joh 3:12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

The earthly ministry of the Lord are things that were already revealed to every Jew as they can read and study in the OT scriptures, but "things to come" are what the Holy Ghost revealed to apostle Paul.

The article is just setting on the right track the churchs' main function is to minister the mysteries of God to every beleiver:

Rom 16:25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

1Co 4:1 Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.
1Co 4:2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.
  • Helga Hickman And, thus, I rest my case! YOU understand not the age in which we are! We were NEVER spoken of while Jesus walked the earth!! Understand not you 1 Corinthians 2:7-8?? It is the Holy Spirit saying that!

  • James Lucas Two great books are Dispensational Truth by Clarence Larkin and One Book Rightly Divided: The Key to Understanding the Bible by Douglass Stauffer.
  • Helga Hickman Indeed, they are! I have not read the first, but Dr. Douglas Stauffer has his book in video-form, also, which is awesome.

So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. 1 Corinthians 3:7 (KJB)
  • James Lucas What I liked about Stauffer's book "One Book Rightly Divided" is that it was a very easy read. He laid out the material in a way that you understood it. It gave me some great tools for understanding the Bible in it's entirety and reconciling difficult scriptures with GRACE.
  • Helga Hickman I am certain, you would enjoy listening to "Through the Bible in Seven Hours!" It is awesome, and so very simple, when it is we RIGHTLY divide the word of God:

Study to shew thyself approved unto God,
a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:15 (King James Bible)
  • James Lucas I am currently doing a series in the church my dad pastors on II Timothy 2:15. I tell those in the class that it won't teach them the WHOLE Bible but will give them some tools to look for as they study their bible.
  • Helga Hickman That is great! This is much ignored in the churches!
  • Preach Christ Crucified what materials your'e using as reference brother James
  • Anton Ramirez Jr. Stauffer's book "One Book Rightly Divided", that's what he said pastor Rey.
  • James Lucas Rightly Dividing simply means "correctly separating into parts" so the Bible must be divided into it's correct parts. Some parts I am aware of are (1) OT and NT which is easy to identify though the NT doesn't actually begin until the death of Christ so most of gospels are in OT setting. (2) Body, Soul, and Spirit which is different for a lost (natural) man and saved (carnal or spiritual man). (3) Kingdom of God and Kingdom of Heaven. (4) God's Righteousness (imputed by faith) and Personal Righteousness (by the law). (4) Gospel of Kingdom and Gospel of Grace of God. (5) Jew, Gentile, and Church of God. Just to name a few divisions or separations.
  • Helga Hickman But, today, there is no Jew nor Gentile.
  • James Lucas Main book I use for this series is "One Book Rightly Divided: The Key To Understanding the Bible" by Douglass Stauffer. Although I have read other books on this topic including Clarence Larkin's "Dispensational Truth". I don't agree with everything Stauffer says, but the book is still very good. Just like...I don't agree with a statement he made in it about the book of James containing SIGNIFICANT church doctrine.
  • James Lucas No...not today. IN CHRIST there is neither Jew nor Gentile. And, if a man does not get into Christ in this day he dies lost. But, God will still deal with Jew and Gentile after the Day of Salvation is over.
  • Helga Hickman I didn't catch that about the book of James. That is strange, since it book is, definitely, directed at Jews!
  • James Lucas Stauffer understands the doctrinal application of James, I just don't think he understands to what extent it applies to the Jews.
  • Helga Hickman I was planning to hear the entire series again, anyway. I will listen for this item.
  • James Lucas It may not be on the audio format and he may have made some revisions for later additions. I don't even remember what section of the book it was in. I was pastoring a church and a man filled in for me one evening...I called him to ask if he agreed with that statement from Stauffer and he went around to other churches telling them I had jumped onto him for teaching on the book of James which I never did. I did not even know he had taught on James the night he filled in. If you teach on James....you better be very careful.
  • Preach Christ Crucified may I ask what specific things in the teaching regarding the book of James that may i also missed brother James.
  • Helga Hickman This is THE BEST preaching I have ever heard on the two, James and Paul, and the dispensation of grace:

  • James Lucas I am not very well versed in James brother. I focus most of my teaching ministry focusing on the letters written by the Apostle to the Gentiles, the Apostle Paul. I do know enough about James to know that one must tread very carefully in it's teachings. For one...the very first verse in the Book of James tells you the letter is written to the "twelve tribes" which are scattered abroad. Also, James 2:24 tells us that "ye see then how that by works a man is JUSTIFIED and not by faith only." which runs counter to Paul's argument in Romans 3:28 that "therefore, we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law." Now, men try to explain this away to justify their own ignorance on biblical matters. But, God's words says what it says. My job is to humble myself and ask him to reveal truth regarding both scriptures. James also talk a lot about suffering and patience which is what God will be trying Israel as a nation for during the Tribulation (Time of JACOB'S trouble).
  • James Lucas If you want some more understanding on this...see my brother Paul Lucas.
  • James Lucas One must understand that God is not done with the nation of Israel. He will still fulfill every promise and covenant he ever made with them as a nation. Once the church age is over God will turn back to the Jew and they will still receive preeminence among all other nations. The time we currently live in is referred to as a time that God is using to provoke Israel to jealousy.
  • James Lucas People don't understand that the Body of Christ is a very special thing God has done apart from his other plan and purpose for the other nations of the Earth. It is also separate from the main plan and purpose of God. God's main plan is to have ALL THINGS under subjection to Jesus Christ so he may be ALL IN ALL! The Church will be on display for ALL AGES TO COME as a representation to the amazing grace, mercy, and love of God the Father. Christ is coming again one day to put down all things that offend (sin) and once this happens...those born in other ages won't be able to understand God's grace because where sin abounds...grace did much more abound. So, grace is evident when sin is present. When Christ puts down sin in this world...future ages will look to the church to understand God's grace. "That in the ages TO COME, he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness torward us in Christ Jesus."
  • David Combs That guy Helga posted clips from, Richard Jordan, is a dry cleaner. he is a hyper-dispensationalist.
  • James Lucas I'm not hyper. I believe there are things in James that apply to the church. But, in understanding the time frame in which James was written...it was written at time when the Apostles were still looking for God to setup the kingdom and that is what they were preaching. So, the PRIMARY application for James is Pre God's rejection of Israel on a temporary basis and will again be the primary doctrine for this world once the time of the Gentiles is fulfilled and God begins to deal with the Jew again.
  • James Lucas I like the following comment. "All the Bible is written FOR you, but it is not all written TO you."
  • James Lucas A great way to discern this stuff for this age is...ALWAYS compare other scriptures with what the Apostle Paul wrote. "Consider what I say and the Lord give thee understanding in all things."
  • David Combs One of the biggest mistakes some folks make is failure to separate the Church from Israel. They are not the same. God made specific promises to Israel that do NOT apply to the Church. There is a physical seed of Abraham as well as a spiritual seed. Israel is in the land, in a state of unbelief. There is no such thing as "Political Israel." I see a lot of so called Bible believers becoming anti-semetic. Beware of their heresy.
  • James Lucas I understand that brother. Thanks for the warning though. I hold fast to the promise God made Abraham to bless them that bless him and believe strongly in blessing the Jew. I also believe that what Europeans have tried to setup in their land for the last 70 years is not of God. This has been a good discussion.
  • David Combs So, you don't believe God gathered them back in their land? Do you deny the hand of God in the founding of Israel in our time?
  • Helga Hickman Show me WHAT makes Richard Jordan a "hyperdispensationalist!"
One would think that, it would go without saying, such would be offered, without having to be asked, David Combs!
  • James Lucas David...you have to understand how closely God and Satan's hands work in this world. The story of Job...Satan was the one that attacked everything that Job had, but in the book God says that Satan caused him (God) to move his (God's) hand against Job. In the story of Joseph..."what you meant for evil, God meant it for good." I believe God is doing what is going on there, but the political leaders making it happen are the spawn of Satan. God is gathering the nations in that part of the world so he can make a bloody mess of them.
  • James Lucas The Bible does speak of a gathering in unbelief...so, yes, I believe it is all part of God's plan. I was simply addressing the political Israel you were speaking of. Most of the people in control over there are knowingly in league with the Anti-Christ.
  • James Lucas "The kings of the Earth take counsel together against the Lord and against his anointed." Psalm 2
  • Helga Hickman Amazing how there be fools, such as David Combs, who can readily point to error in one's preaching, but know not to qualify it, as in the case of Pastor Richard Jordan, whom he calls a "dry cleaner," and a hyperdispensationalist!
    UTTERLY DISGUSTING!

As snow in summer, and as rain in harvest, so honour is not seemly for a fool.
    Proverbs 26:1 (King James Bible)
  • Helga Hickman What a filthy hypocrite the likes of the pathetic David Combs is. I know him to be on Facebook, but, after slinging mud around, he cannot defend what he said!

Such ghastly behavior has earned you a spot on my blog, you pathetic DISgraceful being! IF it is you are saved, you will be made to answer for such HYPOCRISY!!

But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.
