“Walker’s remarks, which were confirmed by three people present and haven’t been reported previously, vary from the call he has made in recent weeks for ‘no amnesty’—a phrase widely employed by people who believe immigrants who broke the law by entering the country without permission shouldn’t be awarded legal status or citizenship,” the Journal wrote.
Gov. Walker’s spokesperson Kirsten Kukowski says that report is wrong:
“We strongly dispute this account. Governor Walker has been very clear that he does not support amnesty and believes that border security must be established and the rule of law must be followed. His position has not changed, he does not support citizenship for illegal immigrants, and this story line is false,” she announced in an email to journalists Thursday afternoon.

- John Moraga This is similar to the attacks of him supposedly supporting common core. this is his first time on the national scene, so he is still a bit wet behind the ears in this arena. that is why he is going with Gov. Abbot to the border. he will inevitably make some stumbles. but, we as his supporters need to stick behind him and continue to keep people informed of the truth.

I'm busy with 4 candidates running for municipal office, doing a By-Law re-write for a conservative Republican group here in Massachusetts... yes there are conservatives in Massachusetts. I have a Republican Town Committee meeting (which I chair) to prepare for.. I've got another Republican groups board of director's meeting to get ready for, and yeah, I'm just starting to get involved in Governor Walker's campaign locally.

- Allyn Horne It has been a long 7 years with Obama and the next year promises to be even longer, but we need to seriously be patient with the guy. He has the right ideas. The executive experience. The temperament. He is finding his national footing but he is the profile that can not only win in November but also roll back some of the garbage of the past 8 years. But we as a party are not going to get anywhere if we simply shoot first and ask questions later. He has already matured substantially as a national presence but we do need to give him time to work on that. Just remember that Reagan made some mistakes too as he was first entering the national scene. Their trajectories are quite similar
