Cannot think of a more appropriate sermon for today, Father's Day!  

I pray all hear it, and realize where they are in their relationship with their husbands, and what example they provide for their children to follow when it comes to RESPECTING the authority of their father! There was a time when "Father knew best," and was respected for it! Today one sees the exact opposite depicted through Hollywood and the pathetic teasers I see advertising shows presented on television!

There was a time when our children could be sure to find a firm shoulder and mind on which to lean and rely, for whatever doubt ailed them! IT GAVE THEM CONFIDENCE IN THEMSELVES!! They could take the problem to dad! Dad would fix it!

Today our fathers are portrayed as nincompoops, not to be trusted, who wouldn't know which end of a hammer to hold! What a loss to all concerned, especially for our children!

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
