LENT - another LIE perpetrated by the Roman Catholic Church on the ignorant of the word of God!

LENT! It seems Roman Catholics are brainwashed into believing they can "DO" something to merit salvation! This is what I see on a friend's page, counting the days for sacrificing one thing or another!

How sad that such be not allowed to THINK for themselves, while being taken in by the wiles of the devil, himself!


8 For by grace are ye saved through faith;
and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9
 
In any instance, it is NOT to the REAL Christ that they sacrifice anything, they to worship the other Jesus of whom Paul speaks!

3 But I fear, lest by any means, 

as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty,
so your minds should be corrupted 

from the simplicity that is in Christ.
4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus,
whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit,
which ye have not received, or another gospel, 

which ye have not accepted,
ye might well bear with him.

And their end will be to end in hell! How horribly sad! My heart breaks for such!
