Modern Bible Translations and the Spirit of Antichrist by Michael Hoggard (2)

Modern Bible Translations

and the Spirit of Antichrist

Visit - Pastor Mike Hoggard exposes the connection and hidden agenda behind Modern Bible Translations and the Spirit of Antichrist.

YOU SAID WHAT???? Misunderstandings to be avoided when CONTEXT is used in any translation! (1)

This was gotten from my dear sister in Christ, Laurian Snowden!
The adage that a lot is lost in the translation is very true, when it is we do not know the context in which anything is said or written!
It is a fun read!

A friend saw this ..... Going to the Greek or Hebrew to understand the English, is like learning about bicycles to understand scuba diving! These 2 words will tell you why: There is a difference between Translating and Transliterating. Read on and see –>>

I don’t speak Greek and my computer won’t type Hebrew, so I’ll explain this using Spanish (which I speak) and English (which I speak).

José invites Juan to the park. Juan wrote a text back to José saying, “Hoy no, gracias. Tengo malas pulgas.” María asks José what Juan answered. He translated it, “Not today, thanks. I’m in a bad mood.” She said Ok, we’ll go without him.

Later Mará’s friend Lupe sees the text and says, “Hey, I learned Spanish in school. I also took out my Spanish to English dictionary. José lied to you! Here’s what it says word for word: -Today No Thanks. I have bad fleas.-“ María was upset! Also, could those fleas be in her house from Juan’s last visit? “José! You’ve got some splainin’ ta do!” José said, “Spanish is a different language. That is the expression for a bad mood. You don’t get it. You have to speak the language not just transliterate words.”

A week later as José’s sister was going out to the mall. José warned her, “¡Cuídate los viejos verdes! jajaja” She replied, “Sí hermano, lo hago.” Maria asked José what he said. He replied, “Oh, I just told her watch out for those dirty old men! hehehe. She said, –Yes bro, I will-.” Later Lupe the trouble maker came by for tea. When María told her about it she pulled out her dictionary again. “No!! María listen, he lied again. Viejo means Old and Verde means Green. There are old green men at the mall. Crud! Martians! Also she said she does it! Does what?”

María asked José later, who said, “No, dear. Spanish is a different language. That is the expression for a dirty old man. You don’t get it. You have to speak the language not just transliterate words. Also in Spanish, present tense is used for short term future tense because culturally Latinos are not in a hurry like Americans.”

Though this all sounds humorous (and it is), it is very sad. Scholars going back to the Greek or Hebrew (which they really don’t) can only transliterate. They usually go to a Lexicon and look at Greek and Hebrew words they don’t understand, then look on the list of English possibilities and pick one they like. There are a few more diligent scholars who look at Greek new testaments or related books. But they still use dictionaries like Lupe and don’t speak Koine Greek fluently.

I conversed with a “scholar” who told me that the Hebrew word really means this or that. I said, “Ze tuv! Atta yodea Ivrite?” He said, “What?” I said, “That’s good, you know Hebrew?” (I said it in Hebrew). Of course, he did not. So how are these tranliteraters worthy to re-translate your Bible? Scholars transliterate because they don’t actually speak those languages fluently and with cultural experience. They are not qualified to translate. Luke 10:21 “In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.”

Here is another perfect example of people looking stupid for trying to correct the Bible. I was at a nursing home, preaching, when another christian asked me, (my quote is approximate), “If your King James is right, why in Revelation 6:8 does it say “pale horse”? The Greek says a Green horse.” I replied, “I’ll make it worse for you. In the older Spanish bible it says Tan horse. You see, if you are a Greek with Olive skin, when you get pale, you look green. If you are Latino and get pale, you look tan. This only proves the universal superiority of the King James Authorized Version over the other languages in it’s universal applicability and accuracy.” He was silenced and only taught Revelation from a King James from that point. Even newer Spanish bibles correct “tostado” (tan) to “pálido” (pale) to line up with the King James 1611.

Conclusion: Don’t re-write it, re-read it. Don’t correct it, it corrects you. Don’t re-prove it, it will reprove you. Read it, believe it, don’t question it. If God can keep track of the very hairs of your head, he won’t loose his own book!

Response to 400constantine by RainhadoCanto11 - #3

Here the response the fool has given me, posted on my channel!
The wimp cannot have me post on his, scared of his own shadow, he is!  Being in a CULT does that to one!  Makes me want to throw up!

"You do realize that for 1500 years if you wanted a Bible you had to hand write it... on parchment or papyrus scroll... and this isn't with a bic pen either. 100 years is a long time, just think of all of the inovations. 1500 years went by and there was no such thing as Solo Scriptura... God started a Church not a book club"-

You are a real moron, 400constantine!
It is obvious you have not viewed the information given you!

I have no time nor inclination to deal with any such cowardly idiots, anymore!  Besides, the word of God tells me I need not do it!!

You would rather remain an ignoramus, the absolute requirement to be in the Roman Catholic CULT!

10 A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition

11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth,
     being condemned of himself.
Titus 3:10-11 (King James Bible)

Jesus Christ will tell you on that last day, that perhaps you should have joined the "book club":

He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words,
hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken,
the same shall judge him in the last day.
John 12:48 (King James Bible)

The likes of you I shall have pleasure viewing being flung in the lake of fire, where you will spend eternity together with the Roman Catholic CULT, which Revelation 17 describes so well!

I will worship toward thy holy temple,
and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth:
for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
Psalm 138:2 (King James Bible)

 But thou, O LORD, shalt laugh at them;
thou shalt have all the heathen in derision.
Psalm 59:8 (King James Bible)

1And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
2With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
3So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
4And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
6And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
Revelation 17:1-6 (King James Bible)

A Muslim writes brother Dave (

Hello, how are you?

Do you know who is Gary Miller?
What do you know about the book named "The Amazing Quran" ?

Gary Miller (Abdul-Ahad Omar) shows how we can establish true faith by setting standards of truth. He illustrates a simple but effective method of finding out the right direction in our search for truth.

G.R. Miller is a mathematician and a theologian. He was active in Christian missionary work at a particular point of his life but he soon began to discover many inconsistencies in the Bible. In 1978, he happened to read the Qur'an expecting that it, too, would contain a mixture of truth and falsehood.

He discovered to his amazement that the message of the Qur'an was precisely the same as the essence of truth that he had distilled from the Bible. He became a Muslim and since then has been active in giving public presentations on Islam including radio and television appearances. He is also the author of several articles and publications about Islam.

Some of his works:
- A Concise Reply to Christianity - A Muslim View.
- Followers of Jesus.
- The Amazing Qur'an.
- Some Thoughts on the 'Proofs' of the Alleged Divinity of Jesus.
- The Basis of Islamic Belief.
- The Difference between the Bible and the Qur'an.
- Missionary Christianity - A Muslim's Analysis.

Calling the Qur'an amazing is not something done only by Muslims; it has been labeled amazing by non-Muslims as well. Even people who hate Islam very much have called it

Brother Dave's response through his channel

Hello and thank you for your message.

Each person on the broad way to destruction has his own personal delusion provided by God for remaining on it.

I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.
Isaiah 66:4

All Gary Miller did was to change vehicles and he is still on the broad way.

The narrow way, which few will find.

CCM stands for Christ for the Crescent Moon. The Crescent Moon is the most widely recognizable sign for the Muslim World. CCM Ministries' vision is to win one million Muslim souls throughout the Farsi-speaking world which includes largely Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan and the 10 million displaced refuges of Farsi heritage dispersed around the globe.

CCM was founded by Pastors Mani and Jennifer Erfan in 2001. Mani was born a Shiite Muslim in Iran and immigrated to United States in 1983. Through a miraculous encounter with Jesus Christ Mani came to know the Lord in 1987 and has been in active ministry amongst Muslims since 1993.

Mani and Jennifer have been married since 1995 and have an 8 year old daughter named Esther and 3 year son named Micah.
They co-founded and are active pastors in the Iranian Church of Houston from 1996 until today and have personally lead over 100 Muslims in the city of Houston to the saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Since January 2002 CCM has been dedicated to using satellite broadcasting systems to reach a much larger group of unbelievers.

Through CCM's partnership with Mohabat TV and GLC, CCM's weekly TV program reaches over 4-8 million Iranians and Muslims through satellite in Iran and throughout USA/Europe via TV every week. Our programs are broadcast in English and Farsi and are intended to train, equip and share the Gospel with all Muslims.

CCM currently supports and makes evangelical and teaching programs in Farsi and teaching and educational programs about Islam in English. Since 2002 CCM and its broadcasting partners have seen the conversion of thousands of Muslims within Iran alone. In 2005 the number was estimated to be 50,000 souls.

The focus of CCM's ministry is winning Iran for Christ. Since 2004 CCM has been involved in cell group planting and leadership training within Iran and has trained dozens of church leaders who are currently operating as pastors, and leaders within Iran. This work continues today and expands as we speak.
CCM's mission work even goes beyond the Middle East.

CCM has built churches in Asia amongst Muslim communities in Indonesia and is currently involved in building an orphanage for Muslim children in Kenya.

Sermon Details:
In today's sermon we will look at the issue of female pastors, and see from the King James Bible that there is absolutely NO justification for women to pastor churches.

We also look at how three of the most popular new versions have changed vital wording to justify the SIN of female pastors.

Finally we ask the question of do some female pastors using occultic powers of enchantment and seduction, to gain control over the men in their congregations? I believe the answer is yes!

If you are in a "church" which is pastored by a woman, you need to leave IMMEDIATELY!!!

Response to 400constantine by RainhadoCanto11 - #2

How sad that some need avail themselves of subterfuges, and cannot operate openly! I find this utterly disgusting!!

It seems the above character is afraid anyone will see comments validating one's distrust of the Roman Catholic Church on his channel!  This is a PURE indication that this a CULT!  For it is CULTS that prohibit this and that, and God forbid anyone break the "code of silence!" No! It is best to keep everyone in the dark as to what one is doing! I find it revolting!

Paul told us to prove all things!  I pray you do just that, 400constantine!

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
1 Thessalonians 5:21 (King James Bible)

Anyway, 400Constantine, you have just left the following comment on my channel:

There New Testament canon wasn't canonized until 397 AD. What did Christians do for the first 400 years? The printing press wasn't invented until the 1500s, and almost nobody knew how to read. Solo Scriptura is not only unbiblical but impossible. Also, the reason that I have to screen comments is because of videos such as "the Heresies of Benedict XVI" the other Protestants who think that they are Catholic can become quite nasty.

Do you think that the New Testament Christians were waiting on Rome for anything? How very sad that you know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about the history of Christianity, and even less of your church! Letters of the apostles were always available! There were plenty who KNEW HOW TO READ!  I don't even know if this comment is going to get posted! I haven't the time now, but, I will be posting a list on my blog for you to read and view.

24For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets,
and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that,
if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

but my words shall not pass away.
Matthew 24:24-25; 35 (King James Bible)

Response to 400constantine by RainhadoCanto11

Response to comment posted on my channel

I am sorry, I haven't the time nor the inclination to watch any of the imagined evil of the Roman Catholic Institution, which has endeavored to REVISE HISTORY SINCE ITS INCIPIENCE, and certainly not 2+ hours of it, of which I saw just the first few minutes!

You verify Scripture and you will see that the CHURCH is the Body of Christ, and NOT the RCCult!

NOWHERE in the Bible will you find the word Catholic nor Pope!
Quite strange if it were the "true church that Christ founded," isn't it?

Nowhere do you see that Mary was "assumed" into heaven, a momentous event, NEVER to have been missed by her contemporaries, IF IT WERE TRUE!

NOWHERE is she mentioned to have been born without sin, another something that the word of God would NEVER have missed, IF IT WERE TRUE!  On the contrary, it emphasizes that it is ONLY Christ who was born without sin, and ONLY HE to be our MEDIATOR and conceived by the Holy Spirit!

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin;
that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

2 Corinthians 5:21 (King James Bible)

For we have not an high priest
which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities;
but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Hebrews 4:15 (King James Bible)

John, the beloved apostle, took care of Mary until her death!
Mind you, throughout Christ's life here on earth, Jesus NEVER CALLED HER MOTHER!!

27And it came to pass, as he spake these things,

a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice,
and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee,
and the paps which thou hast sucked.
 28But he said,
Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
Luke 11:27-28 (King James Bible)

WOW!! What an occasion Christ "missed" in telling the world about how very important his mother was, YET, HE DID NOT, FOR SHE WAS NO MORE THAN HIS CREATION! And she knew it! She to know NOTHING of the perversion they have made of her name!

Jesus to have NEVER addressed her as "mother!"
Not even that he allowed her!!

Beyond a brief mention of her presence in the room in Acts, SHE IS NEVER MENTIONED AGAIN! I'd say all this should be quite sobering to anyone with ears to hear!

For there is one God,
and one mediator between God and men,
the man Christ Jesus;
1 Timothy 2:5 (King James Bible)

The same beloved apostle John was inspired to write Revelation, and there we do see what the end of this false institution is to be: THE LAKE OF FIRE!

By the way, it is simply and grossly ASININE to claim the "miracles" of Fatima and elsewhere to be from God:

Paul writes:
12 But what I do, that I will do,
that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion;
that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we.

13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers,
transforming themselves
into the apostles of Christ.

14 And no marvel; for Satan himself
is transformed into an angel of light.

15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers
also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness;
whose end shall be according to their works.

2 Corinthians 11:14-15 (King James  Bible)

INDEED, IT IS NO GREAT THING, for those with ears to hear and eyes to see!

Christ himself stated:

17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit;
but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit,
neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down,
and cast into the fire.

20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Matthew 7:17-20 (King James Bible)

Praise God, thanks to the printed word and now the Internet, the evil fruit of this cult has come to light, and many such as I have gotten out of it!

Just WHY do you think that the word of God was FIERCELY KEPT FROM TRUE CHRISTIANS for centuries, they being mercilessly persecuted, with one pope after another DEVISING TORTURE TOOLS TO PROLONG THE SUFFERING OF MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN, during a time that came to be known as the DARK AGES, made so by the RAMPANT EVIL spread by the powerful Roman Catholic Church throughout the world! Small wonder it have been so very powerful, it having been begun by an Emperor!!

Your user ID is quite appropriate, for IT WAS CONSTANTINE who, tired of fighting the Christians, started a UNIVERSAL religion, UNITING PAGANS AND THE FEARFUL LUKEWARM CHRISTIANS, in the FOURTH Century! look up any dictionary and it will tell you that CATHOLIC = UNIVERSAL!
It's elementary, my dear Watson!

Peter de Rosa, a Vatican historian writes:

"After Peter, the centuries roll by, full of controversies, any one of which today would involve immediate recourse to Rome for a decision... We have already noted that not a single Father can find any hint of a Petrine office in the great biblical texts that refer to Peter. Papal supremacy and infallibility, so central to the Catholic church today, are simply not mentioned. Not a single creed, nor confession of faith, nor catechism, nor passage in patristic writings contains one syllable about the pope, still less about faith and doctrine being derived from him."

Peter de Rosa, Vicars of Christ: The Dark Side of the Papacy, p. 206.

"The Pope and the Council contained aspects of papal history completely unknown to me. I had been brought up as a Catholic, had gone through the usual six-year seminary course prior to ordination, had graduated from a Catholic university, the Gregorianum in Rome, and had never come across such ideas. This is partly to be explained by the partisan nature of seminary education and the fact that in such establishments history is a Cinderella subject. The misbehaviour of popes is lightly dwelt or even excised, rather in the way that Trotsky was cut out of all Soviet history by Stalin ... My ignorance must also be set down to the preference Catholics have for a history of the papacy that can be read with white gloves on. It is not easy to admit that one's leaders were often barbarians, or that the good popes sometimes did far more harm than good.

Thus, quite late in my career, I felt obliged to examine the history of Catholic ideas and institutions, the later of course including the papacy. It was a long and sometimes painful form of a self-education."

13I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end,
the first and the last.
14Blessed are they that do his commandments,
that they may have right to the tree of life,
and may enter in through the gates into the city.
15For without are dogs, and sorcerers,
and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters,
and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
16I Jesus have sent mine angel
to testify unto you these things in the churches.
I am the root and the offspring of David,
and the bright and morning star.
17And the Spirit and the bride say,
Come. And let him that heareth say, Come.
And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will,
let him take the water of life freely.
18For I testify unto every man that heareth
the words of the prophecy of this book,
If any man shall add unto these things,
God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19And if any man shall take away from
the words of the book of this prophecy,

God shall take away his part out of the book of life,
and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
20He which testifieth these things saith,
Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
21The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
Revelation 22:13-21 (King James Bible)

The Roman Catholic Church, being a CULT, has added and subtracted aplenty!

This "church" which claims to "never change," has done and does no more than CHANGE, constantly!

Posts you may wish to look up:

MORE HERESIES: Dogma from the Catholic Encyclopaedia

While you are at it, you may wish to learn some TRUE history, and shift between the fables told you through Catechism:

Sadly, not even the Christ you worship is real!
He, as your creed states, is seated at the right hand of the Father, and not on a seat with a springboard that propels him to magically enter the "eucharist!" Your church is deep in magic and mystery!

Another Jesus  (2 Corinthians 11:4)

3But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
4For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
2 Corinthians 11:3-4 (King James Bible)

As you can see, leaven began to permeate the church very early, and Paul was there to speak against it! If it had been left to Peter, we would never be having this conversation today, for he was ready to compromise with the Jews early on, until Paul exposed him! Look up Galatians!

See also this, which counters the most perverted brainwashing tool that is the Catechism:

Other Christs

Careful, that when you come before Him, He says not this to you:

21Not every one that saith unto me,
Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven;
but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22Many will say to me in that day,
Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name?
and in thy name have cast out devils?
and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23And then will I profess unto them,
I never knew you:
depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

I pray this satisfies you as a response from me!

"And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise."(Luke 23:39-43 KJV)

One of the dying thieves accepts Christ as his Saviour (Luke 23:40-43).

1. He repents over his own foolish charges.

2. He rebukes the unrepentant thief saying to him, "Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same condemnation?" "We indeed justly, for we are receiving due rewards for our deeds, but this man did nothing amiss."

3. He looks upon Jesus.

The dying robber: "Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom."

The dying Redeemer says: "Verily, I say to you, today shall you be with me in Paradise"
(Luke 23:43).

*This statement emphasizes several facts concerning salvation.

1. That salvation is offered to anyone, anywhere. Are deathbed conversions valid? They are indeed, for here is one! But we quickly note: there is ONE deathbed conversion in the Bible so that no man will DESPAIR, and there is only ONE do that no living man will PRESUME.

D.L. Moody once said: Did ever the new birth take place in such strange a cradle?

Amazing when you observe the contrasts seen here!

1.In the morning the thief was nailed to a cross. In the evening he was wearing a crown.

2. In the morning he was an enemy of Caesar. In the evening he was a friend of God.

3. In the morning he was spurned by men. In the evening he was fellowship ping with angels.

4. In the morning he died as a criminal in the earth. In the evening he lived as a citizen of heaven!

Salvation is by grace through faith ALONE! This conversion refutes:

1.The doctrine of sacramentalism. He was saved apart from confirmation, sprinkling, Holy Communion, and church membership.

2. The doctrine of baptismal regeneration.

3. The doctrine of purgatory.
4. The doctrine of universalism
(only ONE thief was saved).

Salvation will be rejected by some in spite of everything God has done! The other thief died eternally lost. There were three men.... One was dying FOR sin ( the Saviour), one was dying FROM sin (the repentant thief), and one was dying IN sin (the lost thief).

All classes of humanity were represented at the Cross. There were the indifferent (" the people stood beholding" Lk 23:35); the religious (the rulers derides Him," Lk 23:35); the materialistic(the soldiers parted his raiment and cast lots," Lk 23:34); and the earnest seeker ("Lord, remember me..." Lk 23:42).

The Cross is indeed the judge of this world!

The "prince of this world" is Satan ( John 14:30; 16:11). Also found in 2 Cor 4:4; Eph 2:2 & 1 John 5:18. The "now" of which Christ speaks refers to the assurance of ultimate victory over Satan that was won at the Cross ( Col 2:14-15) and the empty tomb ( Mat 16:18 & Rev 1:18) Glory hallelujah!!!

Adrienne Villegas-Kenyon, a warrior for the word of God, as given us in the King James Bible, our FINAL AUTHORITY!

Oh! I have a grin from ear to ear while writing this! There are people with whom fools should not tangle, regarding the TRUE word of God, as given us in the King James Bible for the English-speaking peoples of the world! One such person is Adrienne Villegas-Kenyon, whose powerful rebuttal such fools could never survive! Oh! The word of God is, indeed, her armour!

I am posting this also on my blog, where it will be better presented!

Print this out and keep it in your Bible!

The "originals" lol. You're kidding right? Do you know what the word "Scripture" even means Darrin? The Bible defines it's own words, and Matthew 22:29-31 defines the word "scripture": : Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scripture nor the power of God....have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God..." Scripture refers to the words written down that were spoken by God. You say like many other people who do not understand that only the original autographs were inspired, and that copies made from these originals contain errors and are not reliable...that is a LIE! This is what you are claiming when you attack the KJB. The scriptures do tell us that the original manuscripts were inspired. But God also had His people make FAITHFUL COPIES of these original manuscripts to keep His perfect words available to man FOREVER! Check for yourself! You can find the word "scripture" in 53 verses of the Bible. Not ONE of them EVER refers to the "original." Each is referring to COPIES. God calls those copies "scripture."

    • Adrienne Villegas-Kenyon Look at Luke 4:16-21: "And he began to say unto them, This day os the Scripture fulfilled in your ears." Christ read from the book of Isaiah . And He called the COPY that He read from "scripture," the words of God.
      2 hours ago · · 1

    • Adrienne Villegas-Kenyon Read John 5:39: Search the SCRIPTURES; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me." Why would Jesus tell them "Search the Scriptures" if they did not have them? Remember, these "scriptures" were copies of the originals.

During His ministry Jesus never read the originals. He only read copies. But He called those copies Scriptures. And they were EXACT copies of God's actual words. Jesus never pointed out a single error in them. If anyone would know, it would be God's own Son! He's the One who spoke those very words to His prophets in the first place! For copies to be scripture, they need to be perfect. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says that all scripture was given to us by God. The scripture is the work of God. And God's work is PERFECT (Deuteronomy 32:4).

    • Adrienne Villegas-Kenyon Christ knew the scriptures didn't contain errors because He is God and God knows everything. (Colossians 2:2-3) If Jesus knew the scriptures contained errors, He wouldn't cover them up, because He is God, and God is holy, trustworthy and righteous. God cannot lie. (Titus 1:2)
      about an hour ago · · 2

    • Adrienne Villegas-Kenyon Christ used copies of the scripture. He knew those copies were perfect. Christ used ALL, not just SOME, of the scriptures. This shows His confidence that God's words were preserved. Eact copies are the preserved words of God.

The Bible is CLEAR. Trustworthy copies of God's Words are called Scripture over and over again and again. Every bible out there with the exception of the King James Bible was translated by Dynamic equivalence (what they think God meant) instead of by Formal equivalence (What God really said= the very words and each and every word). The men who translated the manuscripts of the KJB knew that EVERY WORD is important, so they made sure to clearly and carefully translate every word.

    • Adrienne Villegas-Kenyon Who is in charge of preserving here? God or man? "The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. (psalms 12:6-7)

    • Adrienne Villegas-Kenyon ‎"For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven." (Psalm 119:89). "But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you." (1 Peter 1:25).

Again, I am going to ask for your permission to copy this whole thread and place it in a note on my page!!

So nice to see you here being active again, dear sister Adrienne!
I was going to stop by the other day when I saw you, but got distracted! Old age does that to me!! Ha Ha! And it is NOT funny!!

      Which reminds me:

A priest anxious to be sure this old matron's wealth would be left to the church coaxed her saying: "You know! You are getting up in age! You need to be thinking aboaut the hereafter!"

The old lady replied: "Father, I am always thinking of the 'here after!' Just yesterday I came down, opened the refrigerator and said to myself: what am I here after?"

      Ha Ha Ha!

    • Adrienne Villegas-Kenyon ‎"Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever." (Isaiah 30:8) God promised to preseve His Words without loss or error!

    • Adrienne Villegas-Kenyon Oh Sis...that was a good one! Are you sure that you weren't joking about me lol! Thanks for lightening the mood! You do not ever need my permission to use anything. You may use anything at all~ Love you so much! XOXOXOXOXOX ♥

    • Adrienne Villegas-Kenyon Thank you! My husband and I will be home together tomorrow for a change. Well, he has to work but is coming home early at 10:00 am! This will be such a treat. What did I do to deserve such great friends? God is so good! Thanks, I really appreciate this!

    • Adrienne Villegas-Kenyon There are so many SCRIPTURES that show how God preserved His words. It is such a shame that the strongest adversaries seems to come from Christians who doubt, attack and pervert the words of the living God. What an awful sin and shame.

    • Helga Hickman Oh! My dearest! You are a real sweetheart! I have missed you here, yet, admire your ability to have been able to stay away for a while, as you said you would!

Oh! I pray you have a wonderful time tomorrow, and enjoy your time with your husband! He has a real jewel for a wife!

May God bless you and yours, always and profusely!

God also preserved His Words in books! "Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee." (Deuteronomy 31:26). "Thus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book." (Jeremiah 30:2). "Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea." (Revelation 1:11)

    • Adrienne Villegas-Kenyon ‎"And it shall be, when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write him a COPY of this law in a book out of that which is before the priests the Levites." (Deuteronomy 17:18)

    • Adrienne Villegas-Kenyon As you can CLEARLY see, God preserved His words by having His people make FAITHFUL copies of them. Even the King of Israel had to make His own copy of Moses' writings! Um, hello? Amen!

    • Helga Hickman Ha Ha Ha! Amen, indeed!! You have provided a wealth of verses here! I am not only going to place this thread on my page, I am going to place it on my blog, also!
Great verses to which to refer, time and again!
      Thank you, so very much!

The fact that it is the English Bible does not make it any less the Words of God than what Paul held in his hand. What a subtle attack that is! If Paul spoke in Aramaic, and it was translated into Koine Greek, and it was translated into the English King James Bible, today we still have the very Words of God. Those who mock are either ignorant of preserved inspiration; or they are on purpose attempting to lead you astray. This is a subtle attack to bring into play the corrupted Alexandrian Texts. Either the Words of God are the same as in the Apostle Paul's day or we do not have preserved inspiration.

    • Helga Hickman
Indeed! Amen!! And, as you say, these attacks come from those who call themselves Christian!

With friends like these, who needs enemies?!

He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words,
hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken,
the same shall judge him in the last day.
      John 12:48

As per this "corrector" above, I suppose he has not trouble comparing with the ESV which among others states Jesus is NOT God in Philippians 2:6!

(A)who, though he was in (B)the form of God, did not count equality with God (C)a thing to be grasped,

While our trusted King James Bible gives Christ His due:

Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

Amen Sis, so true! Sadly, you are correct in your assumption of this person. Jesus said, "He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth." (Luke 11:23). Truly these kind of lukewarm Christians must taste repulsive in the Lord's mouth to put it mildly. Get off the fence already! This is the second person today that told me that they were a King James person and then attacked the Word of God as best as they could. It is one way or the other and it is best if they just get off the fence!
