This one delivers the proverbial one-two punch!I am quite literally on the edge of my seat when watching this!
Acts 17:10-12 (King James Bible)
10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.
11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
12 Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.
The multitude of "new and improved" versions popping up yearly do not, and cannot, verify this truth!! Why? Because they did not come from the inspired word of God, that was only preserved through the King James Bible, for the English-speaking peoples.
Moreover, they depict views held by the so-called translators, some of whom blatantly did not believe in the Deity of Christ (either Wescott or Hort, I cannot recall off-hand who), pro-homosexual (NIV's Drs. Virgina Mollencott and Marten Wousdtra) and pro-feminine (TNIV).
