We hear today from our President (God I hate calling him that [me too!!]), a statement of recognition of Ramadan. An Islamic holiday/religious observance.

In his statement he says this:

 ”Even as Ramadan holds profound meaning for the world’s 1.5 billion Muslims, it is also a reminder to people of all faiths of our common humanity and the commitment to justice, equality, and compassion shared by all great faiths.”

Really Mr. Obama? An Islamic holiday reminds everyone of justice equality and compassion? Just so I understand you correctly sir….you’re saying that the same religion that chops off peoples heads, beats, stones, and oppresses women, hangs homosexuals, and promotes hatred…..somehow reminds us of equality and compassion?

I’m not sure about anyone else but I don’t believe a religion that says that a muslim woman is only worth half a muslim man represents equality.

Qur’an (4:11) - (Inheritance) “The male shall have the equal of the portion of two females”

Bukhari (6:301) - “[Muhammad] said, ‘Is not the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one man?’  They replied in the affirmative.  He said, ‘This is the deficiency in her intelligence.’“
A religion that says to kill all non muslims doesn’t sound like a religion that promotes compassion.

Quran (2:191-193) - “And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution [of Muslims] is worse than slaughter [of non-believers]… but if they desist, then lo! Allah is forgiving and merciful.   And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah.”

How is it that a religious observance of the most hateful religion in the world would remind anyone of those things?

Furthermore, I don’t think that the United States should be recognizing any religious holiday of Islam, given what all we truth loving people know Islam to be. I don’t think it’s appropriate to suggest anyone recognize an observance that’s purpose is to make Muslims be more extreme.

What do I mean by that? Well according to Wikipedia Ramadan is a time when Muslims are expected to put more effort into following the teachings of Islam.

Well if they do that then gays better hide, we all better convert, we all better strap on bombs and get ready to kill people who don’t agree with us!

Get real BARACK!! And PLEASE stop saying “on behalf of the American people” when you slobber all over  Islam. You DO NOT speak for me!!
