Patrick Madrid has been active in apologetics since 1987. He hosts the Thursday edition of the EWTN "Open Line" radio broadcast (3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET), heard across the U.S. on approximately 130 AM and FM stations, as well as on Sirius Satellite Radio Network. He has conducted hundreds of apologetics seminars, in English and Spanish, at parishes, conferences, and universities across the United States, as well as throughout Europe, and in Canada, Latin America, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. He is a regular presenter at the Franciscan University of Steubenville's "Defending the Faith" summer conferences and has been a guest lecturer in theology at Christendom College in their "Major Speakers" program. He has engaged in public debates with Protestant, Mormon, and other non-Catholic spokesmen. He serves as the director of the Envoy Institute of Belmont Abbey College.

He earned a bachelor of science degree in business management from the University of Phoenix and a bachelor of philosophy degree (B.Phil.) from the Pontifical College Josephinum, Columbus, Ohio, where he is completing a master's degree in theology.
