My beautiful brother in Christ, Jithin, never fails to reward me with his queries!
And what a HUGE blessing it is for both of us, all of us, to have one such brother as Bryan Denlinger, who is ever so willing and painstakingly gives lengthy and excellently educated explanations for the benefit of this young man,... and me,... and you...
As I replied:
"Oh! Jithin! This makes me cry! Look at the time and care Brother Bryan gives to his reply!! A true man of God, he is, so very filled with goodwill and knowledge! We are so very blessed to have him as our brother in Christ!"
Here the most recent of Jithin's queries to Bryan, which are asked all the time by most!

Subject: Catholic bible additions to the word of God..
To: Bryan Denlinger
[Sister, this is my question to him]
Dear brother Bryan,
I have been thinking to mail this to you since a few weeks..
But i could not do it as i was busy with a lot many problems here..
Here we go,
Brother,
I see that many chapters are more in catholic bible when we compare it with
KJB..
For example, Catholic bible has chapters called wisdom in it while its not
in KJB..(many more such additions too)
As its not in KJB it cannot be holy spirit inspired,
But then how come they include it in the Holy Bible ?, which has to be 100%
godly inspired..
Wisdom looks very fine and truthful but i know that it's not the point here,
but the
point is that whether its the truth from god or not..
Kindly mail me back your valuable views on this issue..
May our lord bless you and yours profusely..
In Christ ,
Jithin Mathews from India..
[and here is his profound reply]

Dear Brother Jithin,
Why do Catholic Bibles contain extra books in the Old Testament?
Because they are based on a false Greek translation known as the
“Septuagint”.
In the first century, the early Christian Apostles were writing letters
to both churches (Corinthians,Thessalonians, Galatians, etc.) and
individual believers (Timothy, Titus, Philemon). Paul’s letters are the
most common, but Peter, John, and James were also writing. The churches
would receive these letters, and they would make hand-written copies.
Some of these copied letters would make their way into the hands of
false prophets and false converts, who would not like what they were
reading! So the false teachers began to change the writings of the
Apostles! Paul wrote about this in Romans 1:25 [Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.] and 1 Timothy 6:3-5 [3If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;4He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,5Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.].
Peter actually said that people were changing(wresting) scripture to
make it EASIER to understand in 2 Peter 3:16 [As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.]! This is EXACTLY the same excuse which modern Bible corrupters use today to justify their new
versions! John also gave a very serious warning against adding to or subtracting from God’s written word, in Revelation 22:18-19 [18For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:19And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.].
If this wasn’t bad enough, the false prophets were also producing fake letters and sending them to the early churches, and signing Paul’s name to these letters! Paul writes about this in 2 Thessalonians 2:2 [That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.]. So you can see that wicked men were desiring to change scripture even before the first century was finished!
Now around about this same time, there were a group of people known as the Gnostics. They were essentially people who believed in pagan philosophy and the occult, as well as Christianity. Their desire was not to give up their sinful beliefs, but rather to blend everything together. They had a University in Alexandria, Egypt where they would change and rewrite the scriptures to include their Gnostic beliefs.
The third man to run this school was named “Origen”. He made his own translation of scripture known as the “Hexapla”. This translation contained extra books that were written in Greek. Origen claimed that these extra books were part of the original Old Testament, and that Jesus and His disciples used them. He NEVER was able to prove this! This Greek Old Testament was known as the “Septuagint”,or “LXX” for
short.
The story was, that a man gathered 72 Jews (6 from each of the 12 tribes) in the years between the completion of the Old Testament and the birth of Jesus Christ. This group of Jews made a translation from their Hebrew Old Testament, into the Greek language. NO PROOF was ever given for this story however!
There are other problems with this story. First of all, the Jewish tribe of Levi in the Old Testament were the ones entrusted with the priesthood AND the keeping of the scriptures. If there was to be a translation of the Old Testament, ONLY the Levites would have been able to perform this! The other 11 tribes would NOT have taken part in the work of translation.
The second problem with the Septuagint story is that the Hebrew language is sacred to the Jews. They would NEVER have translated their Old Testament scriptures into the language of the Gentile world! Also, in Matthew 5:18 Jesus says, “…one jotor one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.” Jots and tittles are Hebrew letters, NOT Greek! Jesus was NOT reading a Greek translation of the Old Testament. He was reading Hebrew!
Sometime in the 3rd century, one of Origen’s students was commissioned
by the Roman Catholic emperor to make a New Bible version. One of these
new versions was known as “Codex Vaticanus”. It contained the extra
books from the Septuagint. These books became known as the “Apocrypha”.
In 380 A.D.,the Catholic scholar Jerome was given the task of creating
a Latin Bible for the Catholic church, from these corrupted Alexandrian
Greek scriptures. This “Bible”became known as “Jerome’s Latin
Vulgate”. This translation did contain the Apocryphal books (like
Wisdom, Tobit, Judith, etc.) but even Jerome wrote that he did NOT
believe that these added books were authentic, because no New Testament
writer ever mentioned these books, or quoted from them!
The Catholic church raised this new translation up as the only true
Bible, and they persecuted anyone who didn’t believe in the added
Apocrypha. In 1611, the King James translators decided to include the
Apocryphal books NOT as scripture, but for their historical interest.
They placed the Apocryphal books BETWEEN the Old and New Testaments, and made it clear that these added books were NOT part of the original Old Testament. Years later, the Apocryphal books were removed from the King James Version.
The Catholic Bibles still include these Apocryphal books as PART OF the
Old Testament. They refuse to give up their corrupted scriptures.
I hope that answers your question, brother Jithin. I apologize for how
long this message was. But this is a detailed subject, and requires a
lot of explanation.
In Christ Jesus,
Bryan
[and finally here is my thanks to him for his great mail]
